How do I add the widget?

  1. Go to your Home Screen and touch and hold an empty spot until the apps jiggle.
  2. Tap the + button in the top corner. On newer iOS versions, tap Edit, then Add Widget.
  3. Search for Pet Forever, pick a size, and tap Add Widget.

For the Lock Screen: touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, choose the Lock Screen, and add Pet Forever under the clock.

The widget says my pet is getting ready

On first launch the app prepares the pet's pictures for every widget size. This takes a moment. The widget checks back on its own within five minutes. Opening the app speeds it up.

How do I show my pet in the Dynamic Island?

Open the app, tap the ··· menu, and choose Show in Dynamic Island. iOS ends a Live Activity after several hours. Choose the option again to bring it back.

The widget shows a different pet

Widgets follow the pet you chose in the app. To pin a widget to one pet, touch and hold the widget, tap Edit Widget, and pick the pet.

Reminders

Care reminders are optional and local to your phone. Turn them on or off in Settings inside the app. They stay quiet between 10 pm and 8 am.

Can I make my own pet from photos?

Yes. Open the app, tap the ··· menu, then Make your own. Take or choose four photos of your cat or dog, give it a name, and buy the pet. Each pet is one purchase. Making it takes about ten minutes, and you can close the app while you wait.

Making my pet failed

The app offers one free Try again. If that fails too, tap Request a refund, or ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Email us with the date if you need help.

I paid, but my pet did not arrive

Keep the app installed and open it again with an internet connection. The app sends your purchase to our server again and finishes your pet. You are not charged twice.

What happens to my photos?

They are used only to build your pet, and they are deleted within 24 hours. The privacy policy has the details.

How do I start over?

Settings inside the app has Reset this pet's progress. Settings > Delete all my data removes the pets you made from photos and all care progress, and asks our server to delete its copies.
